Piast Gliwice participated in the "Piłka jest kobietą" tournament in Bytom, where it competed against eight teams from the region. The tournament had not only the goal of selecting the best teams, but also to encourage young female players to engage in sports, compete in the spirit of fair play, and develop their football skills. Thanks to such initiatives, women's football in Silesia is gaining popularity. In this event, the Orliczek GKS Piasta team participated, which competed against eight teams from the region on the GKS Rozbark Bytom grounds. The matches were intense and evenly matched, with no shortage of emotions on the pitch. The tournament had not only a competitive dimension, but also a training one - it was an opportunity to gain valuable experience in playing against demanding opponents. The tournament was attended by, among others, Akademia GKS Katowice im. Jana Furtoka, LKS Orzeł Jankowice, Akademia KKS Czarni Sosnowiec, Akademia ROW Rybnik, Orzeł Bobrowniki, Akademia 2012 Jaworzno, and the host - GKS Rozbark Bytom. The winner of the tournament was Szkoła Futbolu Staniątki, which proved to be the best among all participants in the decisive matches. For young female players of Piast Gliwice, this was another important test and element of football development. Participation in such tournaments allows not only to improve skills, but also to build experience in competing with teams from different training centers. We would like to thank GKS Rozbark Bytom for the invitation and excellent organization of the tournament. See you next time!
