The club's management, aware of the local market's potential, invested in young players and the development of the football academy. As a result, Piast began to attract talent from the region, strengthening ties with fans and the local community. In 2013, after several seasons in lower leagues, the team managed to secure promotion to the Ekstraklasa, marking one of the most significant moments in the club's history.
