Piast Gliwice, after a tough season in the PKO BP Ekstraklasa, bids farewell to five players. The team, which has been competing at the highest level in Poland since the 2012/13 season, managed to stay in the league thanks to Widzew Łódź's victory over Lechia Gdańsk. Following the conclusion of the season, the club announced that they would part ways with Patryk Dziczek, Michał Chrapek, Karol Szymański, and Tomasz Mokwa. Dziczek, the top scorer of the Ekstraklasa in the 2013/14 season, had already agreed on a transfer to Pogoń Szczecin. The other three players will also not have their contracts extended. In the club's official statement, Piast Gliwice thanked them for their service in the blue and red colors. Additionally, 23-year-old German Barkovskij will also leave the club, returning from a loan to Puszcza Niepołomice. The changes in the squad are a result of a challenging campaign, where Gliwice fought until the end to secure their place in the league.
